Tjunction of oversized rectangular waveguides in the Eplane
Abstract
A rigorous mathematical model is obtained for an Eplane Tjunction of multimode waveguides of equal width for an arbitrary relation between the heights of the main and secondary waveguides. The diffraction of H(p0) waves by the junction is analyzed numerically, and the efficiency of the FORTRAN algorithm proposed for calculating the Smatrix of the junction is validated. It is noted that the present study may be pertinent to the theory of multimode transmission lines.
