E-plane step-coupling of rectangular waveguides partially or completely filled with dielectric
Abstract
Elements of the diffraction matrix of the main LM-type wave at the interface of rectangular waveguides are computed using the Galerkin method, taking into account edge irregularities. The efficiency of the approach is tested for a relative permittivity value epsilon = 1. The frequency dependence of the reflection coefficient defined graphically for epsilon values of 2.2 and 5. It is noted that the results can be used in the design of corrugated waveguide filters, partially or completely filled with dielectric.
