Nonlinear methods for the processing of faint radio signals on a background of stationary non-Gaussian noise
Abstract
The paper analyzes the degree of closeness of asymptotically optimal algorithms for the detection of faint radio signals in non-Gaussian noise to optimal algorithms for a finite observation time. The stability and efficiency of nonlinear algorithms in the asymptotic and sublimiting cases are investigated. A universal nonlinear element is found which, under conditions of a priori nonparametric indeterminacy, exhibits an excellent processing quality.
