Coupling between antennas on a cylinder in the presence of ribbed structures
Abstract
The paper examines the coupling characteristics and radiation of two waveguide antenna arrays situated on the surface of a circular cylinder with a ribbed decoupling structure between them. The appropriate boundary value problem is reduced to a Fredholm equation of the first kind with respect to the aperture field distribution. The equation is solved by a special orthogonalization method, which makes it possible to use a recursive-formula computation. The excitation coefficients of the receiving-array waveguides and the radiation pattern of the transmitting array are determined as functionals of the unknown function.
