Synthesis of SAW transducers weighted by electrode withdrawal
Abstract
A precise electrostatic solution is used to calculate the emission intensity coefficients (C sub IJ) of electrodes in an irregular array. A modified algorithm is developed for the synthesis of SAW transducers weighted by electrode withdrawal. Transducers of this type synthesized on the basis of C sub IJ values obtained previously are compared with transducers synthesized on the basis of C sub IJ values obtained in the present study. It is shown that the main differences in the frequency domain lie outside the passband and define the sidelobe level. Experimental results on transducers of this type are presented along with a table of improved C sub IJ values.
