Chaos in a SQUID
Abstract
Domains of chaos in a single-junction SQUID under the effect of an external periodic magnetic flux were studied by the high-speed analog simulation of the dynamic characteristics of the chaotic processes. It is shown that at high inductances (the l value being much greater than unity) the domains of chaos coincide with analogous domains for a single-junction Josephson device; as the l value decreases, the domains of chaos also decrease; when the l value is less than 1, chaos is completely absent in the system.
