Relativistic-electron-beam cascade amplifiers with a magnetostatic converter
Abstract
Attention is given to the efficiency optimization of REB cascade amplifiers with rotating electromagnetic fields, magnetostatic converters of electron drift energy into oscillator energy, and gyroresonance energy extractors. The possibility of increasing the gain coefficient and reducing the optimal level of field strength in the cascades is investigated. Particular consideration is given to the mathematical model of the interaction process, the analysis and optimization of the extractors, and the conversion of the longitudinal component of electron velocity into the oscillator component.
