Narrow-band filtering of microwave signals in the case of the excitation of magnetostatic waves in YIG films
Abstract
It is shown that highly selective narrow-band filtering of microwave signals can be achieved through the use of YIG films. A technique is proposed for the electrodynamic matching of an exciter with a YIG film and with a microstrip line (MSL). A minimum filtering band of 3-4 MHz and a maximum difference of 45 dB between losses outside and inside the filtering band were obtained. The YIG device yielded better filtering characteristics than the traditional MSL device.
