Exact solution for a compressed signal during the weight processing of the spectrum of a linear-FM pulse
Abstract
A solution is obtained for the response of a compression filter to a linear-FM signal in cases of limited and unlimited filter bands and different types of weight function. Rectangular and Gaussian filters are considered, and an analysis is made of the dependence of the shape and sidelobe level of the compressed signal and the SNR on the filter band and signal base. An analysis of the exact solution shows that a band broadening of the rectangular filter leads to the formation of a regular sidelobe structure with a maximum sidelobe amplitude at the -13.2 dB level.
