Analytical estimation of the limit parameters of magnetrons
Abstract
The paper formulates the physical premises characterizing the limit mode of operation of a magnetron connected with limits on electron desynchronization. These premises are used to obtain analytical estimates for the limit values of anodic voltage, output HF-power, anodic current, and efficiency in the limit mode. The dependence of the limit parameters on magnetic field and the curvature of the anode and cathode is examined, and a comparison is made with previous estimates.
