Method for the consideration of losses in the metal during the analysis of shielded resonators and waveguides
Abstract
A procedure for determining losses in the metal in shielded resonators and waveguides is proposed which is based on the variation of the natural frequency of the resonator or the natural-mode propagation constant of the waveguide during the variation of the geometric dimensions of the shield. This approach makes it possible to simplify the computational relationships for lossy resonators and waveguides.
