Diffraction by an E-plane bend of a rectangular waveguide
Abstract
The method of integral equations is used to investigate Hm0-mode diffraction by an E-plane symmetric bend of a rectangular waveguide. The application of the Green function of the input and output waveguides makes it possible to reduce the problem to Fredholm equations of the second kind with a restricted kernel. The numerical algorithm takes into account the properties of the kernel and the unknown functions, which makes it possible to obtain a highly efficient solution. This approach utilized an analysis of field behavior at the edges of the bend, following directly from the integral equations.
