Emission of magnetic waves from a plane waveguide with thick walls
Abstract
A factorization method is used to study the emission of natural magnetic-mode waves from a plane waveguide with thick walls. Values of the reflection coefficient are calculated for various values of b/lambda, where b is the wall thickness and lambda is the wavelength. It is shown that, even for small heights of the waveguide, the directivity pattern is practically independent of the wall thickness.
