Domain-wall displacement waves in a ferrite slab
Abstract
Domain-wall displacement waves in a ferrite slab that are long in comparison with the period of the domain structure are analyzed, assuming fixed magnetization vectors within the domains. Group velocities for these waves are determined for a tangentially magnetized YIG plate. Results indicate that such displacement waves can be used in various types of microwave devices with a linear frequency dependence of the parameters. The use of the displacement-wave phenomenon in the design of magnetostatic-wave devices is mentioned.
