Analysis of the decoupling properties of a homogeneous impedance strip situated on an infinite screen
Abstract
A two-dimensional model analysis is made of the decoupling properties of a homogeneous impedance strip on an infinite screen, with reference to the decoupling of antennas. It is demonstrated that the capabilities of decoupling structures can be extended substantially by the use of structures of complex (and not merely reactive) impedance. Numerical calculations are made of the attenuation coefficient for various values of purely reactive impedance and of complex absorbing impedance.
