Method of moments in the problem of diffraction by a ribbon
Abstract
A compact accurate high-speed algorithm based on the method of moments is developed for solving problems of electromagnetic-wave diffraction by a metallic ribbon. The proposed approach can lead to an easy determination of current distribution on the ribbon; the determination of the density of the surface current involves the summation of rapidly converging series. The accuracy of the method is examined, and a numerical analysis shows that the succession of solutions converges rapidly as the reduction order increases.
