Pulsed self-oscillatory processes in a TWT oscillator with external feedback
Abstract
The nonstationary nonlinear theory of a traveling wave tube is used to analyze the appearance and development of pulsed self-oscillatory processes in a system consisting of a wideband TWT, a delay line, and an expander. Numerical simulation results are presented which disclose the main features characterizing these processes, and it is shown that an oscillator with a wideband TWT and expander in an external feedback circuit can be used to form pulsed oscillations of different shape and duration.
