A study of heat transfer in high-temperature thermal-insulation materials in hypersonic turbulent flow
Abstract
Radiation-heating and hypersonic wind tunnel test results are presented for a high-temperature thermal-insulation fiber material. It is shown that the mechanical and acoustic effects of hypersonic flow increase the effective heat conductivity. A method is presented for determining the effective heat conductivity and the integral degree of blackness using heat flow sensors.
