Local and nonlocal singularities of space-time
Abstract
The present study grounds the necessity of dividing singularities into two classes, local and nonlocal, which must be defined independently. The two classes are defined, and the relationship between the proposed definitions and the standard definition of singularities based on the incompleteness of space-time is established. Also established is the relationship between the proposed definitions and theorems on the existence of singularities.
