On the validity of boson mapping
Abstract
The validity of boson mapping is discussed. It is shown that in order for any boson mapping to be succesful, it must fulfill the requirements that (a) the underlying fermionic degree of freedom, measured in terms of the total degeneracy Ω, is sufficiently large; (b) the required boson subspace is a good subspace and (c) the states must not be spurious.
