An analysis of the radial-velocity performance of the image-tube spectrograph on the CTIO 1-meter telescope.
An analysis of the radial-velocity performance of the 120 Å mm-1 configuration of the image-tube spectrograph on the CTIO/Yale 1-meter telescope is presented. The instrument is found to be stable within a given run but to be susceptible to small changes from run to run. There may be systematic changes in velocity residual with declination; none are found with zenith angle or hour angle. A typical precision of ±10 km sec-1 for a single spectrum of a Population I star is achieved for the spectrograph configuration used. Rest wavelengths derived for F0 - K4 Population I stars observed with this spectrograph/image-tube configuration are presented. A table of radial velocities and residuals for IAU radial-velocity standard stars, as well as some other bright stars, is also presented.
