Superradiance statistics for three-dimensional samples
Abstract
An explicit expression for the probability distribution of the superradiance pulse delay time for three-dimensional samples taking into account small, though finite, reflection at the boundaries is found. The superradiance statistics versus sample form, in particular, for experiments to be conducted by Florian et al. [Phys. Rev. A29 (1984) 3208] is specified. An analytic expression for the universal scaling analogous to that recently obtained numerically is found.
