Choosing certain parameters of optoelectronic scanners
Abstract
The effect of the spatial-frequency characteristic of optoelectronic scanners on the reproduction quality of objects being observed is examined. Quantitative estimates of the contrast and the observable resolution of the reproduction are obtained for a statistically average subject, the spatial autocorelation function of which is expressed by an exponent. A method is described for choosing the bandwidth of the low-frequency filter at the output of the optoelectronic devices.
