X-ray studies of relativistic heavy-ion-atom collisions
Abstract
X-rays between 4 and 200 keV emitted in collisions between 82 to 670 {MeV}/{amu} heavy ions ranging in charge from Ne to U and solid targets ranging from Be to U are analyzed. Target and projectile K X-ray production, radiative electron capture, and primary and secondary electron bremsstrahlung are discussed.
