The interaction of a relativistic electron flux with the waves of an impedance waveguide
Abstract
A model of a relativistic high-current microwave amplifier is considered in which the diameter of the periodic slowing system is equal to many wavelengths. The case of the steady-state operation of the device is analyzed, the analysis being limited to the interaction of an electron beam with axially symmetric E-waves. Numerical modeling is carried out using the reference particle method; the electromagnetic field in the slowing system is calculated using the Galerkin method.
