A polarization study of the cometary nebula Parsamyan 21.
Abstract
Polarization data are presented for the cometary nebula Parsamyan 21. The nebula is a relatively highly polarized and illuminated by the apical star within it. Across the head of the nebula and including the illuminating star is a band of polarization which may be due to aligned grains in a circumstellar torus. Parsamyan 21 is very similar in polarization structure to the well-studied cometary nebulae NGC 2261 and 6729, illuminated by R Mon and R CrA respectively.
