Nonlinear acoustoelectronic devices and their applications
Abstract
The theory and the design of acoustoelectronic nonlinear data processing devices are briefly reviewed. The nonlinear acoustoelectronic devices, which use the effect of nonlinear interactions of acoustic waves in solids, have potential for radar and communication applications. Attention is given to the principal aspects of the design and manufacture of nonlinear acoustoelectronic devices, including the selection of materials and methods for optimizing the performance of the devices. Some experimental and computational results are presented along with examples of applications.
