Methods for measuring the characteristics of microwave antennas
Abstract
Traditional methods for measuring the far-field parameters of microwave antennas are examined in detail, with attention given to radioastronomical, airborne, and tower-based measurements. Consideration is also given to new methods relying on near-field measurements, such as refocusing, collimator, and amplitude-phase techniques. The discussion also covers specific measuring techniques used for phased-array antennas.
