Spectroscopy of the autoionization states of atomic systems
Abstract
The book is concerned with the theoretical and experimental description of the autoionization states of multielectron systems. In particular, attention is given to the excitation sources of autoionization spectra, methods of spectrum detection and processing, and relativistic and nonrelativistic parts of the energy of autoionization states. The discussion also covers the probability of nonradiative decay and the autoionization level width, the probability of radiative transitions, the relativistic version of the analysis of atomic characteristics, and the dielectronic satellites of the resonance lines of multiply charged ions.
