The FreeLagrange Method
Abstract
Various papers on the FreeLagrange method are presented. Individual topics addressed include: FreeLagrange methods for compressible hydrodynamics in two space dimensions; finite difference operators on unstructured triangular meshes; a Lagrangian method for the incompressible NavierStokes equations on a periodic domain; FreeLagrangian methods, independent time steps, and parallel processing; threedimensional algorithms for grid restructuring in FreeLagrangian calculations; and threedimensional FreeLagrangian hydrodynamics. Also discussed are: a vectorized 'near neighbors' algorithm of order N using a monotonic logical grid; data structures and vectorization in a twodimensional FreeLagrangian code; solution adaptivity using a triangular mesh; recent developments in FEMCFD; a conservative Free Lagrange code; and compressible Lagrangian hydrodynamics without Lagrangian cells.
