Rotational motions of asteroids
Abstract
The unperturbed and perturbed rotational motions of asteroids about their centers of mass are examined. The Euler periods of nutational motions are calculated. In addition, solar precession constants are determined for asteroids whose shape (according to photometric data) can be approximated either by an ellipsoid or by a cylinder with hemispheres at the ends.
