Laser anemometry, remote spectroscopy, and interferometry: Handbook
Abstract
Data are presented, in a systematic manner, on remote measurements and visualization of various processes in hydroand aeromechanics. The book covers the fundamentals of laser Doppler velocimetry, light scattering, the principal optical components and schemes of laser Doppler velocimeters, and electronic systems for the detection and processing of Doppler signals. Data are also presented on spontaneous Raman scattering, schlieren methods for studying compressible flows, and the role of interferometry and holography in applied aerohydrodynamics.
