Sensibilisierte IR-Emission der Dreiwertigen Seltenen Erden in Ca 3La 2W 2O 12
Abstract
By activation of the new host lattice Ca 3La 2W 2O 12 with Er 3+, Ho 3+, or Yb 3+ in combination with one of the remaining trivalent rare-earth ions a sensitized IR emission is observed for the couples {Ho 3+}/{Er 3+}, {Ho 3+}/{Tm 3+}, {Ho 3+}/{Yb 3+}, {Er 3+}/{Yb 3+}, {Tm 3+}/{Er 3+}, and {Yb 3+}/{Nd 3+}, which is due to an energy transfer from Er 3+, Tm 3+, or Yb 3+ to Ho 3+, from Yb 3+ to Er 3+, from Er 3+ to Tm 3+, and from Nd 3+ to Yb 3+. For all other couples no enhancement of the IR emission is detected. The excitation, emission, and diffuse reflectance spectra are discussed.
