Instabilities in laser-pumped gas lasers: experimental oscillation line shapes
Abstract
Heterodyne measurements are presented of the above-threshold oscillation spectrum of several optically pumped molecular lasers under a variety of conditions. The data suggest that, under some conditions, single-mode sideband instabilities resulting from two-photon susceptibilities could dominate.
