An alternate fine guidance sensor for the Space Telescope.
Abstract
A study was conducted to develop a preliminary design of an alternate fine guidance sensor for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Space Telescope; an electrostatically focused silicon diode, quadrant array detector was selected. Simulations of the Space Telescope control system showed that the recommended sensor could meet the required performance specifications.
