Device for measurements of solar brightness variations based on an integral photodetector matrix.
Abstract
An instrument for observations of the brightness variations of the sun was developed on the basis of the integral array detector matrix. Four differential (center-to-limb) brightness signals corresponding to limb zones N, S, E, W as well as the intensity in the center of the solar disk are registered with time resolution 24 ms. Results of the laboratory tests of the instrument are described. The observations performed at the Crimean solar tower telescope using an effective wavelength of 0.85 μm showed that the daily trend of the differential signal is about 2×10-3 in units of the center disk intensity.
