An experimental study of heat transfer in a moderately rarefied gas
Abstract
Heat transfer between coaxial cylinders in polyatomic gases is investigated experimentally for moderate degrees of gas rarefaction. The results obtained are described in terms of the Lu-Lies theory extended to the case of polyatomic gases. The Eucken factors calculated on the basis of this theory are found to be in good agreement with data in the literature.
