First experimental results on 100-GHz 200-kW gyrotrons
Abstract
An account is given of the design of a 100-GHz gyrotron for 200-kW output and 100-ms pulse duration. The collector length and the magnetic field profile in the collector are progressively being modified according to the results of measurements of X-ray emission and temperature measurements in the collector wall. Attention is given to experimentally obtained plots of output power vs. cathose current and output power vs. cavity magnetic field.
