A study of W-band subharmonically pumped mixer
Abstract
A W-band subharmonically pumped mixer with packaged Schottky diodes has been developed. The design and performance of this mixer are described in detail. A new method for measuring the embedding network parameters of the subharmonically pumped mixer has been developed and the measurement has been carried out directly at twice the local oscillator frequency and at twice the local oscillator frequency plus or minus the IF amplifier frequency. A special program for the analysis of the subharmonically pumped mixer has been developed, and computed results are compared with measured results.
