Self-induced mismatch in nonlinear optical interactions - Thermal and bandwidth effects
Abstract
The possible reduction of the efficiency of nonlinear optical interactions due to using high power short laser pulses, as those delivered by FEL's, has been investigated. The relevant results have been used in the design of a broad-band optical cavity for infrared free electron lasers.
