Static gas conduction cooled slab geometry Nd:glass laser
Abstract
A 10-Hz, static, gas-cooled, slab-geometry Nd:glass laser is demonstrated whose cooling scheme furnishes thermal control of the slab laser medium while eliminating mounting and optical problems associated with liquid cooling. The method also permits the laser medium to be operated above the fluid boiling point.
