The observation of individual natural-frequency resonances of radar targets through the scattering of long pulses
Abstract
The Singularity Expansion Method has shown the transient echo amplitude of radar targets to be characterized by complex-frequency poles and their residues. It is noted that the use of pulsed signals of long duration permits identification of individual pole resonances by the observation of their ringing.
