Using the theory of gauge fields for demonstrating the vortex nature of the deformation of a solid
Abstract
Vortex motions in a solid are described in terms of the theory of gauge fields associated with a disruption of the global symmetry of equations of motions of an elastic solid relative to a group of rotations of three-dimensional space. The resulting solutions describe the formation of regions of complex vortex motions due to the nonlinearity of the equations of motion. The solutions obtained can, in principle, be correlated with molecular-dynamic calculations of vortex formation in a solid during the propagation of a shock wave.
