Wave radiation by periodic structures
Abstract
Results of recent studies of detached-wave radiation are presented. The radiation directions are measured as a function of the geometrical dimensions of the oscillating system of a surface wave resonator. It is shown that wave radiation by bounded periodic structures can be used for creating active microwave antennas, devices with an oscillating radiation pattern, and quasi-optic energy outputs.
