Mutual impedance and coupling coefficient between two 'patches' expressed through analytical forms
Abstract
Analytical expressions for the mutual impedances and coupling coefficients between two 'patches' in H and E-plane configurations have been obtained for when the volume equivalence theorem is applied to the dominant mode TM(10). The results are compared to other theories and experiments. The results permit the conclusion that in the H-plane configuration, the coupling coefficient and mutual impedance are essentially due to aerial waves.
