Accurate resonant frequencies of cylindrical dielectric resonators using a simple analytical technique
Abstract
A simple analytical technique for computing accurately the lowest-order resonant frequencies of isolated cylindrical dielectric resonators is presented. The method is based on the definition of an effective dielectric constant. Computations for the dominant mode show that this technique, while retaining the same order of simplicity as the magnetic wall method, yields accurate results nearly matching those of rigorous methods.
