New Wide Double Stars in the HIPPARCOS Input Catalogue?

One of the fundamental tasks of the INCA Sub-Group "Double Stars", consists in the identification of all double stars in the HIPPARCOS Input Catalogue. By using a special Catalogue of the Components of Double and Multiple stars (CCDM) 22,952 of the 206,999 entries of the provisional list L2-V have been identified. A detailed examination shows that: 224 pairs are redundancies left in the L2-V list; some 300 pairs have insufficiently accurate positions to make possible their consideration and finally some 1,300 real new wide double stars have been found.
