Additional PLL designs

The catalogs of several companies and the specialized literature make it clear that the CD4046 integrated circuit and its equivalents such as the MHB4046, the MC14046B and the HEF4046B, as well as the modernized HC/HCT4046, are among the most commonly used versions. Their applications include frequency synthesis, FM demodulation, voltage-frequency conversion and the like. For higher frequencies the alternative HCTR0320 may be considered. Since phase-locked loops (PLL) are used in this country, their most important properties, useful information on the specifications of the most important auxiliary components, and details of circuitry are described in order to simplify their incorporation.
