The uniqueness of solutions to spectral problems for one-dimensionally periodic gratings
Abstract
A set of conditions is obtained which limits the possibility of the existence of nontrivial solutions to the spectral boundary value problem for one-dimensionally periodic gratings. It is shown that these conditions are essentially local (with respect to the spectral parameter variance range) theorems of uniqueness.
