Eluding the enemy - ECCM techniques
Abstract
The principal objectives of a signal interception are defined, and ways to achieve low probability of intercept (LPI) are discussed. In particular, attention is given to techniques for minimizing transmit power and techniques based on spread-spectrum modulation. The possible conflicts between the goals of LPI and anti-jamming are then examined within the realm of spread spectrum. Finally, some limitations of LPI strategy are discussed.
